President Luong Cuong congratulated Ambassador Amal Abdel Kader Elmorsi Salama on a successful tenure and highly appreciated her active contributions to strengthening the traditional friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Egypt.
The President expressed hope that, in any future position, Ambassador Amal Abdel Kader Elmorsi Salama would continue to hold deep affection for Vietnam and serve as a bridge promoting bilateral relations and people-to-people exchanges.
Ambassador Amal Abdel Kader Elmorsi Salama highlighted her efforts during her term, especially on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of Vietnam–Egypt diplomatic relations in 2023. She took the initiative to organize business networking events, and cultural and artistic exchanges, while also launching various initiatives to promote the image of Egypt to the Vietnamese public. These activities have contributed to enhancing mutual understanding and strengthening the solidarity between the two nations.
Through Ambassador Amal Abdel Kader Elmorsi Salama, President Luong Cuong conveyed his warm regards and best wishes to President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi, congratulating Egypt on the progress achieved under its "Vision 2030" strategy. He expressed confidence that the Egyptian Government and people would continue to make greater strides in national development.
Ambassador Amal Abdel Kader Elmorsi Salama thanked President Luong Cuong for the kind reception and his positive assessment of her tenure. She expressed gratitude for the friendship and support extended to her during her term by the Vietnamese Party, State, and people.
She noted Egypt’s pride in being among the first countries in the region to establish diplomatic relations with Vietnam. Recalling the fond memories of President Ho Chi Minh’s visits to Egypt, she emphasized the admiration the Egyptian people still hold for him.
The Ambassador congratulated Vietnam on its remarkable achievements in recent years and expressed confidence that, with ongoing administrative reforms, the country would achieve further growth and prosperity.
She affirmed the great potential for further bilateral cooperation, particularly in economy, trade, investment, culture, and science and technology, and highlighted the two sides’ shared priorities in digital transformation, economic innovation, and defense-security.
President Luong Cuong expressed appreciation for the affection of the Ambassador and the Egyptian people toward President Ho Chi Minh and Vietnam. He noted that while bilateral cooperation has grown significantly over the past six decades, it has yet to fully match the potential and expectations of both sides.
To that end, he emphasized the need to further promote delegation exchanges, particularly at the high level, and to strengthen collaboration in key areas such as economy, trade, investment, defense, and security.
Recognizing Egypt's important role in the Middle East and North Africa, President Luong Cuong affirmed Vietnam's desire to develop more substantive and effective cooperation with Egypt, in the interest of both peoples and for peace and stability in both regions. He also called for continued coordination and mutual support at multilateral and international forums, based on common interests and respect for international law.
President Luong Cuong concluded by expressing his hope that, in any future role, Ambassador Salama would continue to cherish her special sentiments for Vietnam and contribute to deepening the friendship and cooperation between the two nations.
